This Privacy Policy explains what information StickerHunt ("we", "us") collects when you use the StickerHunt mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using StickerHunt you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash). You choose a username and display name, and may add a bio and profile photo.
- Content you create. Stickers, packs, the locations where you pin them, hunt check-in photos, captions, comments, and likes.
- Location. When you check in on a sticker, we use your device's location to confirm you are near the sticker's pinned spot. We store the coordinates of your check-in. We only access location while you are using the app and after you grant permission.
- Photos. Sticker artwork and check-in photos you upload. We strip embedded metadata (including GPS EXIF data) from images during processing.
- Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as app version and a push-notification token (if you enable notifications).
How we use your information
- To operate core features: feeds, profiles, the map, hunts, verification, points, badges, and leaderboards.
- To verify hunt check-ins using your location relative to a sticker's pinned spot.
- To send push notifications about activity (likes, comments, follows, hunts, verifications).
- To keep the community safe, including reviewing reported content and enforcing our Community Guidelines.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. Content you publish (stickers, verified hunts, comments, profile) is visible to other users by design. We share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, object storage, and push delivery) only as needed to run the service.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile at any time in the app or on the web dashboard.
- Block users to hide their content from you in both directions.
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account — and all of your stickers, hunts, comments, and photos — from the in-app Settings screen or from the web dashboard. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed from our active systems.
Children
StickerHunt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
